Welcome to the Scouts BSA and Troop 1, Lewes, DE!

You and your scout are both beginning a grand adventure into the Scouting program. This is an important and rewarding journey for you and your child to share. Troop 1 belongs to the Sussex District, of the Del-Mar-Va Council of the Scouting BSA. The St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Lewes holds the troop’s charter. Troop 1 Bylaws

As a nonprofit organization, this performs as our operating manual and our main governing document. This document guides the actions and decision-making of the Troop 1 committee and our BSA Troop while helping to prevent and/or resolve conflicts or disagreements. It also defines our roles, duties, rules or policies, essential operations and procedures. We regularly review our bylaws and amend them accordingly as our organization evolves. Troop 1 Financial Assistance Fund

Bylaws Addition Article IV.C.

Troop 1 Financial Assistance Fund "FAF" is a program that provides financial assistance to Scouts whose families are financially unable to engage in Scouting or who are so financially disadvantaged that it is difficult for them to participate in Scouts and scouting activities.

Troop 1 Uniform Pantry

Bylaws Addition Article XV.B.

Troop 1 Uniform Pantry was created as a depository for scouts to donate or receive gently used BSA Class-A uniforms, Troop 1 Class-B uniforms and other clothing items related to scouting.
